NFL reportedly seeks at least one-year Deshaun Watson suspension as hearing begins

As Deshaun Watson sits through a hearing Tuesday that will decide his punishment from the NFL, word has leaked that the league has recommended the Cleveland Browns quarterback be dealt an indefinite suspension that lasts at least a full season. Making the suspension indefinite would allow the punishment to be extended if more damaging details come to light.

The year-long suspension recommendation was first reported by the Wall Street Journal and later confirmed by Yahoo Sports.

The 26-year-old Watson, who has settled 20 of the 24 civil lawsuits filed against him that accuse him of sexual misconduct during massage sessions, denies any wrongdoing.
